5 ICONIC SPIDERMAN VILLAINS
The first thing that came to mind when I started this assignment was the topic of my so called "Article". Initially It was going to be Mario enemies but there isn't much to talk about them so there wouldn't be much text and would leave the modules quite empty with negative space. Instead I thought that the topic would be Spiderman villains since there is more to talk about them and it's much more interesting. For the titles and subtitles despite being limited to one font at least I would be able to work with the size and kerning of the titles. For the main title I wanted it to stick out so I styled it while maintaining to be inside the grid. "Spiderman" was meant to stick out so that way the reader would know what the main topic revolves around. Venoms title has much greater tracking between all of the letters in his name "VENOM". I made the text centralized and I altered the spacing of the words .To add on the certain villains I chose are the ones that have been shown in the movies and their names are self explanatory. I made sure the objects and text weren't breaking the grid by making sure they have a place in the rows and columns they are present in. For instance the long rectangular pictures of Venom and Green Goblin occupy two modules which isn't breaking the grid. The rows of the grid were slightly altered to help align the titles. Furthermore Sand mans title also has an increased tracking and a dash to all bring the attention to his title. The image of sand utilizes text wrapping which is an adequate way of breaking the grid that is only allowed. I also made sure of that the titles would be aligned with the text as precise that it could be while remaining to be legible. Headline/Titles are meant to be on top in the hierarchy of a design.
